Whitewater Creek Park  Is OPEN!!


Located outside Oglethorpe, 482-acre Whitewater Creek park has been deeply rooted in the history of Macon County since the early 1800s.

Whitewater Creek Park is open year-round, and offers excellent camping, picnicking, fishing, and hiking.  Bring your fishing gear, boat or kayak.  We provide docks for fishing also.  Families and groups can enjoy playing volleyball on the beach area, 6 picnic tables, 3 grills beachside and lots of grassy spots to picnic.  Visitors who wish to stay overnight may take advantage of our RV hookups, tent sites and rustic cabin rentals.  We are pet friendly. 

The park is open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. The office is open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m . Monday thru Saturday. For reservations and information call 478-472-8171, 478-244-6550, or visit our Facebook page.  Please call in advance of your reservation date to verify. 

Facilities Include:

Camping/RV hookups -The park offers 29 RV sites.  We have 17 septic sites, 12 non septic (all RV sites offer 50-30-20 amp electricity, water, grill, firering and picnic table) 6 primitive sites( no electricity or water ) ajacent to the boat ramp,a screened campers pavilion, bathhouse, fishing dock and dump station.

Cabin Rental - Five rustic NON-SMOKING  cabins each with two bedrooms, one full bath, central heat and air, fully-equipped kitchen, front porch with ceiling fans/rocking chairs and lake view.  Cabin Rentals do not include towels, pillows or blankets.  A 2 night minimum is required.
