Parks and Recreation Department

The Macon County Recreation Department offers recreational activities for participants of all ages, teaching fundamentals, encouraging good sportsmanship and enhancing the quality of life for residents of Macon County. The staff department works year 'round to meet the varying and increasing demands of the county, while providing clean, safe and accessible facilities.

The Recreation Department assists with such programs as youth football, softball, baseball, basketball, summer day camp, swimming lessons, etc. The Recreation Department offers  different programs at various locations across the county for residents of all ages and interests.

Our goal is to provide safe, welcoming parks and recreation facilities with affordable, diverse recreational activities for people of all ages to play, learn and develop healthy lifestyles while being good stewards of our natural environment.
